Everyone is welcome to drop into the Centre for a chat and a cuppa.  Sit down & catch up on the local news by reading the Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette.  Join the Games, Craft or Art Groups.

volunteers who fill important roles such as
management, administration, meet & greet and of course our NicNak Shed crew.

The services and activities provided by the Port Douglas Community Services Network Inc are funded by the Department of Communities Queensland
and manages the:-

Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre
The Cubby House Childcare Centre
&
The NicNak Shed Second Hand goods and clothing.

The Mission of the Port Douglas Community Services Network Inc is to nurture the existing strengths and future well being of the community, to support and advocate for our local community with a priority to those with limited opportunities and choices.

We sponsor Community Development and Education Activities such as:-

INFORMATION
We can help you with information on local and regional services.
The Centre has a number of notice boards and pamphlet racks with information on a wide range of services and activities.

Information booklet--Community Resource Guide
A pocket size booklet with information regarding community services across the Douglas Shire.

CENTRE SERVICES
Anyone can use our facilities, mostly free of charge or for a small fee.
We have Internet and Email facilities.
Phone and Fax facilities.
Book exchange.
You can borrow from our resource library.
Group activities include:- playgroup, new mothers and board games (eg scrabble) groups. Everyone is made to feel welcome.

CRISIS INTERVENTION AND SUPPORT
The Centre has a social worker available for crisis counselling and referral.


CHEERFUL VOLUNTEERS are always available to assist community members and visitors with any query you may have. And if you yourself would like to become a Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre volunteer please come in and see us.
